That's awesome! My mom's home, the Medical Lodge in Leavenworth, said they will be doing that with her and the other residence as soon as it warms up just a bit more. I'm so ready to get out and enjoy spring!

love the pics

Thank you for your support during this difficult time. Our number one priority is the safety and well being of our residents and our staff. We have been closely monitoring and implementing protocols based on guidance from the CDC, CMS and state and local health authorities. Our management teams meet via conference call every morning to review and update any necessary changes to our policies and procedures to best serve our resident's needs.
We have cancelled group activities and communal dining to adhere to social distancing.
We have a group of outstanding activity directors who are very creative in making sure our residents remain active and engaged. We have established communication alternatives to assist you in visiting your loved one via technology - we realize it is not the same as an in-person hug but it is a necessary step to help flatten the curve. For more information or to set up a call please contact your facility administrator or social service director.
We are here to assist you in any way we can. We again thank you for your support and we will keep you informed of changes as they occur.

Thank you for posting this! I loved it and it was so good to see my mom in the video. I was talking to Mom (Georgia Kendall) through Messenger last night and she told me all about the music and entertainment. Said she really enjoyed it and that you sang one of her favorite songs! Thank you to each and everyone for taking such good care of our loved ones and for putting yourself out there in the front lines. Much love and appreciation from our family to yours!

Just a reminder that during difficult times, people can be so unbelievably amazing and kind. A local citizen sent flowers to Medicalodges Independence to brighten everyone's day and it did just that. Staff was moved to tears. So... a huge thank you to the unknown citizen who thought of our staff and residents!

Carla’s Simple Gift and Floral did these from a customer. I’m sure they made someone’s day. We all should do this.

I am sure that the person who sent it got as much joy giving it as you did receiving it.

That is such a kind gesture.
